CPG only had two tweets throughout all 4 days, which was a historic low for him during major tournaments. Day 2 sees CPG with just two tweets, both in the morning well before Rich's afternoon tee time.Ģ019 PGA (5/16 - 5/19) - Rich Beem surprisingly made the cut at Bethpage. This admittedly does not help my case, but they were also generic tweets (Announcing a corporate shotgun event at the club + Tiger Woods Pants pic) that weren't tied to any ongoing live developments at the tournament. He had 1 tweet at 8:45am and 1 tweet at 9:50am. So far, this theory is starting to make sense!Ģ018 PGA (8/9 - 8/10) - Rich teed off at 9:28am Eastern in Rd1. 1 at 9:30pm on Thursday night and then 1 at 12:30pm on Friday, after Rich would have finished Rd2 (7:30am tee time).Ģ017 PGA (8/10 - 8/11) - CPG has 4 tweets on 8/10, but all after 2pm and well after his first round would have been over. CPG only has 2 tweets throughout the entire 4 days. I just went back to 2016.Ģ016 PGA (7/28 - 7/31) - Rich Beem makes the cut. Rich won the 2002 PGA Championship and plays in it every year. If you want to just ignore the next few paragraphs, the long and short of it is that CPG does not Tweet which Rich Beem is playing. Theory being that Rich would not be tweeting as CPG while playing in a tourney. Step 1: Check Club Pro Guy's tweet volume during periods of time when we KNOW Rich Beem was playing in a golf tournament. He works as a golf analyst for Sky Sports in Europe, but makes frequent trips back to the United States. He was once employed as a club pro in El Paso. What We Know About Rich Beem: He's a 5'8" white male. We don't know if he's ex-PGA Tour good, but you can tell by the way he swings and where his club is at impact that he's at worst a scratch golfer. He's around 5'9" (shorter than 5'10" Robert Streb in his Learning Center Video). What We Know About Club Pro Guy: He's a white male. I've thought for a long time that he was Rich Beem, but decided to do a little digging this afternoon to see if I could try to confirm my suspicions. He's the best follow in all of golf and makes me cry with laughter at least once per week. Like I'm sure many of you, I've followed Club Pro Guy on social media for quite some time.
